Two people arrested for fraud, they asked a citizen for over 100 thousand euros for treatment in Turkey

Two people have been detained for 48 hours on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of fraud by demanding 100 thousand euros from a person for the treatment of a family member in a hospital in Istanbul, even though the expenses were covered by the Kosovo Government.

The Kosovo Police has announced that as part of the investigation into the criminal offense of fraud, the Financial Investigations Sector conducted a raid today on the offices of an economic entity in Pristina, based on an order from the Basic Court.

The suspicions relate to the fraud of a citizen who was asked for an amount of over 100 thousand euros for the treatment of a member of his family in a hospital in Istanbul, although the expenses were covered by the Government of Kosovo.


During the raid, documents and equipment were seized as other evidence.

The two suspects, IP and AB, have been detained for 48 hours, while another suspect is being sought.

Investigations are continuing by the authorities to fully clarify the case and ensure justice for all potential victims. /Telegraph/
