Two months without sleep for "Zjerm": Beatrice's father touches with his story about his daughter who today represents the country at Eurovision

Mario Gjergji, the father of the singer representing Albania in Eurovision, Beatrice Gjergji, on the show "One Albania" with Mentor Nazarko, shared moments from Beatrice's life.

He said that Beatrice had a tendency to compose songs since she was little and that he showed great care for her education, even directing her towards Albanian music.

"Beatrice grew up in Italy, outside of Albania, and seemed to have taken a turn towards English and Italian music, which are very beautiful, but I was worried about how my daughter was going 'off the rails'. Raised with Shkodra songs and injecting as much into her as possible, because she had a very beautiful voice, but she didn't really like our Albanian music. The girl, since she was little, had a tendency to compose songs. She has studied piano, singing and music history for many years."

According to Mario, meeting Kola was a great victory for Beatrice.

Music in the Gjergji family has deep roots in Beatrice's family, as the latter's father indicated that many of the family members are involved in music and have passed it on to their children.

"As a family, we all sang, they said that even the chickens in the Gjergji family sing. Many of us still play music today and have begun to pass it on to our children. We eat bread with music. Bread and music together." /Telegraph/
