Kosovo Police have arrested two juvenile suspects in Gjilan, implicated in a fraud scheme and misuse of citizens' bank cards. The case was investigated by the Regional Investigation Unit, specifically the Cyber Crimes Team, with the authorization of the State Prosecutor.
The investigations began on December 8, 2025, following suspicions that minors had illegally benefited through the use of bank details of several citizens. During the investigative procedures, the police have secured reliable evidence related to the criminal offenses of “Issuing bad or false checks and misuse of bank or credit cards”.
On December 11, by order of the State Prosecutor, searches were conducted in two separate locations, where additional evidence was found that strengthened suspicions of their involvement in three criminal offenses: misuse of bank cards, fraud, and misappropriation of property.
The two suspects were arrested and interviewed according to legal procedures. By decision of the State Prosecutor, they were ordered to be detained for 24 hours.
