Two humiliating defeats in a row for Juventus, the sporting director of the Bianconeri surprises with the statement about Thiago Motta

Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli admits this is the first time they have had two such 'sub-par' performances in a row, but insists they will 'get out of this' with Thiago Motta. 

The Bianconeri had won five consecutive Serie A matches and were in contention for the Scudetto, but the dream was dashed by humiliating 4-0 home defeats to Atalanta and tonight's 3-0 defeat by Fiorentina. 

Unusually, director Giuntoli was the first in the media room after the final whistle, before the coach. 

"In these moments, we must stay united and get out of difficulties together. We are clearly disappointed, the season had its ups and downs, but not two games in a row so below the level. We are very sad, but convinced that we can all get out of this together. With Thiago Motta? Of course," Giuntoli told Sky Sport Italia. 

What is it that just hasn't worked in this Juventus team so far this season? 

"We started this project from scratch, reducing the age of the team, reducing the wage bill, so we knew there would be difficulties and a lack of experience," he underlined.
