The State Police in Albania has carried out coded operations, such as "Stolen Line" and "Relay", to crack down on vehicle trafficking and the illegal transportation of immigrants.
According to official reports, two people have been prosecuted for trafficking vehicles, with a total value of around 90,000 euros, which were allegedly stolen in Switzerland and Italy.
MS, 36 years old, is accused of trafficking a "Benz" vehicle worth approximately 80,000 euros, which was found to be stolen in Switzerland.
EM, 29 years old, is suspected of trafficking an "Opel" vehicle worth around 10,000 euros, stolen in Italy.
Also, during Operation "Relay", citizen OT, 36 years old, resident of Kruja, was arrested in flagrante delicto, after he was caught transporting three immigrants in a vehicle who were attempting to illegally cross into the European Union.
The proceeding materials have been submitted to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
