Twitter - a problem for the president of France!?

The French president, Francois Hollande, found himself in the middle of two fires. His current partner, Valerie Trierweiler, expressed her support for the political opponent of his ex-wife, Segolene Royal, via the social network Twitter.

There she praised Olivier Falorn, who in the second round of elections for a seat in parliament will "fight" against Royale.

"Success to the worthy candidate Olivier Falorni", wrote the Parisian journalist, to add that as a politician he selflessly fights for the citizens of La Rochelle.

Royal was Hollandet's longtime partner, with whom he has four children. The couple divorced after she lost the 2007 presidential election to Nicolas Sarkozy. Then information appeared in the media that Hollande is in a relationship with journalist Trierweiler. Since then, Royal Segolene's position in the Socialist Party of France has also declined.

In the first round, Falorni, a socialist dissident close to Hollande, won 29 percent of the vote, while Royal won 32 percent. The second round will be held on Sunday.

In an interview Royal said today that he has the full support of the President.

"The Netherlands has said very clearly that I am the only candidate who supports her in these elections," declared Royal, adding that the President also said that she is "the only candidate who shared the vision of his government."

Royal declined to comment on the Twitter messages. /Telegraph/
