Trump warns of new battles: Light bulbs and toilets are next

After declaring war on toilet paper, Donald Trump has warned that he will similarly confront the Biden administration's decisions related to light bulbs, sinks, showers and toilets.

In a message on the social network Truth Social, Trump once again criticized former US President Joe Biden for a series of decisions related to energy efficiency.

"I hereby ask Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately reinstate my environmental protection orders, which were rescinded by Joe Biden, regarding water flow standards and standards for sinks, showers, toilets, washing machines, dishwashers, etc.," the 78-year-old said.

Zeldin, in this American administration, is the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, namely the Department of Energy, and is responsible for setting efficiency standards for household products and appliances.

During Biden's tenure, the White House has approved several rules to raise standards for products, including new dishwashers and clothes washers, in line with his environmental protection policy.

In 2023, the Department also adopted regulations prohibiting the manufacture and sale of the lamps. /Telegraph/
