Trump shows Fox News reporter the Oval Office decorated with "24-karat gold"

Donald Trump showed off the '24-karat gold' decorations in his newly renovated Oval Office during a tour this week - and took the opportunity to debunk online rumors that they came from Home Depot.
The president invited Fox News' Laura Ingraham for a tour of his redesigned White House during a break from an interview, the Telegraph reports.
He proudly pointed out the gold-plated details - which had been mocked online as resembling $58 jewelry from the hardware store - saying: 'You know one thing about gold? You can't imitate gold. There's no paint that imitates gold.'
The conservative presenter then asked the president directly: 'So these aren't, like, from Home Depot or something like that.'
'No, these are not Home Depot items. This is not Home Depot,' Trump replied.
Ingraham captioned the video on Facebook: 'In the Oval Office with President Trump and I can confirm it's real gold.'
The president has previously boasted about redecorating the Oval Office in 24-karat gold, including gold medallions on the mantelpiece, rococo mirrors hanging above the doors and gold eagles placed on the office's side tables.
Nine months into his second term, the gold adornments are more visible during visits from foreign leaders and press conferences. /Telegraph/
