US President Donald Trump has said he will unveil details of a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine "within the next three days".

He made these comments to reporters during an Easter event at the White House, reports the Telegraph.

When asked about the possible details of the peace agreement that the US proposes to conclude between Ukraine and Russia, Trump promised to "provide the full details over the next three days."

"But we had very good meetings about Ukraine and Russia," he added.

Later, asked about the possibility of concluding such a peace agreement this week, the US president responded positively, specifying that there is a very good chance.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that US proposals for a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine include easing sanctions against Russia in the event of a prolonged ceasefire, possible US recognition of the 2014 annexation of Crimea, and Ukraine's non-membership in NATO.

The US is said to be now waiting for Kiev's response, which is expected to be given at a meeting of US, Ukrainian and European officials in London later this week. /Telegraph
