US President Donald Trump called on Iranian citizens to continue the protests and take control of their state institutions.

He called the protesters "Iranian patriots" and encouraged them not to surrender in the face of repression.

Trump also called for the names of those responsible for the killings and abuses of protesters to be documented and preserved, emphasizing that these actions must not go unaccounted for.

In his statement, he announced that he had canceled all meetings and contacts with Iranian officials, stressing that this would continue until what he described as the senseless and brutal killing of peaceful protesters stopped.

According to him, violence against civilians is unacceptable and requires a strong international response.

Otherwise, Iranians are protesting for economic and social reasons. /Telegraph/
