Trump announces Gaza Peace Board – who are the participating countries?

US President Donald Trump is expected to announce a Gaza Peace Council next week as part of the second phase of the ceasefire, according to two US officials and two sources familiar with the matter.
The board, which is expected to be chaired by Trump and include about 15 world leaders, will oversee a Palestinian government that has not yet been formed and oversee the reconstruction process in the Gaza Strip.
Countries expected to join the board include the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey.
A source with direct knowledge of the initiative said that "invitations are being sent to key countries to become board members."
US officials said the plan remains subject to change, citing possible developments in other foreign policy priorities, such as Venezuela and Ukraine-Russia peace efforts.
Former UN Middle East envoy Nikolay Mladenov will act as the Peace Board's representative on the ground.
He will visit Israel this week to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other officials ahead of Trump's expected announcement. /AA/
