US President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, handed out chocolates to young guests amid carved pumpkins and autumn decorations at the White House.
The most talked-about costumes of the evening: children dressed as the president, the first lady, and their Secret Service bodyguard; a family who turned their stroller into a McDonald's drive-thru; and a boy dressed as... a dirty toilet (evening joke?).
One girl even shook Trump's hand in an attempt to get him to notice her - and she succeeded.
American media also recalled last year's Halloween party at the White House, when Joe Biden inexplicably pretended to bite a child dressed as a chicken. /Telegraph/
