Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Cvetan Tripunovski, said that the purchase of wine grapes will be completed in the best possible way, we have record prices and we will continue to do so in the coming period.
Following criticism from SDSM leader Venko Filipçe that winegrowers have been deceived, at the press conference of the Chamber of Commerce of North Macedonia, Tripunovski said that it is incorrect to manipulate the difficulties and labor of winegrowers in this pre-election period.
"The MBPEU, according to the law on wines, has fulfilled all legal obligations and necessary activities to highlight the production or purchase price, which should be increased by 25 percent. I am sorry that politics is getting mixed into this mix, but this is the way SDSM operates, their distinguishing feature," said Tripunovski.
The effort of the Ministry and the Government, according to him, is to take care of the work of every farmer in Macedonia.
"This is also shown by the figures of the State Statistical Office, while in the context of the success of the management of the entire process, the second quarter of 2025 in the purchase of agricultural products from individual producers was marked by 26,4 percent, while in the part of purchase and sale in the second quarter of 2025, compared to the same period last year, we have an increase of 7,2 percent. This means that we return the quantity of production of Macedonia, that is, we increase sales, respectively, we return production to a pedestal," said Tripunovski.
