LSM protested today in front of the Chamber of Commerce and the Employers' Organization in two locations, 21 people each, because, as they say, they are being followed, surrounded, and threatened so that they do not come to the protest.

According to the leader of the LSM, Slobodan Trendafilov, the bosses have expelled entire families abroad without increasing salaries. He accused the bosses of being blind followers of the Government and stressed that the Government is not their friend.

"The same bosses who are behind us do not allow union organizing in most of the private sector and ban unions. I also send a message to the workers, only one in ten of your colleagues is fighting for your wages. You can imagine what it would have been like if we had fought 8 to 10 employees and out of 540 thousand workers, only 100 thousand would have taken to the streets and if we had to continue with the blockades today. Despite all the pressure, we will not give up. If there was no limit of 21 people on the street, I would have stood alone today so that no worker would be filmed or photographed," Trendafilov said.

Regarding the announced general strike, Trendafilov says that just one day of closure of companies, the state and institutions will cost Macedonia much more than an entire annual increase in workers' salaries and much more than what it now has to cover in mandatory social security contributions. /Telegraph/
