Tragedy in Prizren: 24-year-old dies under suspicious circumstances after two young men sold him a pistol

Kosovo Police have announced that a person was found dead on Sunday in the city of Prizren, where he is suspected of committing suicide with a firearm that two young men had sold him.

The spokesperson for the Prizren Region Police, Shaqir Bytyqi, told the Telegraph that the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.

"Today, on 11.05.2025, at around 18:20 at the Prizren-North Police Station, two people, one 24 and the other 23 years old, reported that they met with a third person - the victim AT, 24 years old, and gave him a pistol to sell," Bytyqi stated.

"The victim, as soon as he picked up the gun, shot himself. The police immediately arrived at the scene and the doctor pronounced him dead," he added.

The body has been sent for examination to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.

Meanwhile, the police have initiated investigations into the criminal offenses of "suspicious death" and "unauthorized possession, possession or control of a weapon."Telegraph/
