During the past weekend (11/12.10.2025) as a result of regular traffic checks carried out by police officers from all internal affairs sectors on roads across the country, out of a total of 1,502 fines issued, 958 violations related to drivers who did not respect the established speed limit.

"Thirteen people were deprived of their liberty for careless driving in accordance with Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, four of whom were for driving under the influence of alcohol, four for driving at a speed higher than the speed limit in a residential area and five drivers for driving at a speed higher than the speed limit outside residential areas."


"According to the statistical review of police activities, 97 violations for improper parking were recorded, 122 measures were imposed on drivers who were driving without a driving license, as well as 47 sanctions for driving under the influence of alcohol. On the other hand, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Safety, five motorcycle drivers were sanctioned for not wearing a protective helmet, as well as two pedestrians."

"Also, 43 road users were sanctioned for not wearing seat belts. In accordance with the Law on Vehicles, 33 vehicles were removed from traffic due to non-registration, and three due to technical defects. Five drivers were also sanctioned for failure to meet the conditions set regarding the darkening of vehicle windows (foils)," the Ministry of Interior says.
