After midnight, at the "Bllacë" border crossing, a driver, a Kosovo citizen, hit a 25-year-old man from Skopje with his car. Police report that the 25-year-old man suffered serious bodily injuries, while the driver has been detained.
"On 06.01.2026 at around 01:50, it was reported at the Skopje Border Police Station that in the area between the "Hani i Elezit" Border Point and the "Bllacë e Poshtme" Border Point, 60-year-old QS from the Republic of Kosovo, driving a "Golf" vehicle with Kosovo license plates, hit pedestrian SK (25) from Skopje. SK was taken to the "Mother Teresa" Clinic Complex in Skopje, where he was diagnosed with serious bodily injuries.
By order of the public prosecutor, the driver QS was deprived of his liberty and was detained at the Gazi Baba Police Station for further proceedings. An inspection was carried out by the investigative team of the Skopje Police Station," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
