Toshkovski in Israel: We strengthen the partnership between Macedonia and Israel in the field of security

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Pance Toshkovski, is currently leading a delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Israel, at the invitation of the company "Elbit Systems", which has been a long-standing partner in improving the technical and security capacities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, especially in the "Secure City" project.

"This visit represents an important opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the latest technological solutions developed by Elbit to address modern security challenges. Special focus was placed on innovations in border protection, urban security and the fight against terrorism, as well as opportunities for integrating advanced technologies into our country's security system", emphasized Minister Toshkovski.

As announced by his office, Toshkovski also visited the Police Control Center in Tel Aviv, where he was introduced to the functioning of their integrated system that uses advanced tools and automated processes for rapid response to security incidents.


"During the visit, the minister also met with the head of the Israeli police, Rafael Engel, Director General of the Israeli Ministry of National Security. The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation in the field of security and the exchange of good practices in the fight against terrorism and organized crime. Minister Toshkovski expressed sincere condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack of October 7, 2023, as well as support in all efforts to return the hostages who have not yet returned to their homes," the MIA statement said.

"The meeting emphasized that Macedonia and Israel are two friendly countries with a shared commitment to security and stability, which through the exchange of knowledge, experiences and technological solutions can further advance their security capacities. Addressing terrorist threats and strengthening international cooperation were among the main topics of discussion, with an emphasis on the need for preventive strategies and modern technological solutions that ensure a rapid and efficient response in protecting citizens. This visit represents another step towards strengthening the partnership between Macedonia and Israel in the field of security, as well as evidence of our commitment to modernizing security structures through cooperation with world leaders in this field," emphasized Minister Toshkovski.
