The first semi-final of the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be held tonight, starting at 21:00 PM, in Basel, Switzerland.
This country became the host of the contest after Nemo won last year in Malmo with the song "The Code".
Eurovision is held at St. Jakobshalle and the presenters of the ceremony are Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker and Sandra Studer.

There are 37 places in the race.
Switzerland and the Big 5 (Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Great Britain) have already qualified for the final on May 17.
The remaining spots are scheduled for the first and second semi-finals, which take place tonight, May 13, and Thursday, May 15.

Albania, represented this year by Shkodra Elektronike with "Zjerm", will perform tonight, the first semi-final.
Montenegro is returning to the Eurovision Song Contest after a two-year absence, while Moldova, which planned to participate, withdrew due to financial problems.

The Eurovision Song Contest has been held almost every year since 1956, making it the longest-running international televised music competition. It was only cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. /Telegraph/
