Moments before failing twice in a row to receive the necessary votes for Speaker of the Parliament, Vetëvendosje MP Albulena Haxhiu declared that her party is ready to go to new elections on June 15 or 22.

She made these comments after indicating that PDK leader Memli Krasniqi had mentioned elections as a solution.

"We are ready to go to the elections," she said.

The numbers for the prime minister and the government have often been stated to be in their favor, however, the Vetëvendosje Movement will still have to try to secure the 61 votes needed to win the Assembly.

Political expert Albinot Maloku tells RTK that Vetëvendosje must understand that citizens did not give enough votes to govern alone.

"There are tactics from all sides, and the possibility of progressing tomorrow towards concluding this saga, I do not see anything concrete," he said.

"None of the parties, none of the candidates clearly has the feeling and competence to be prime minister in the current circumstances and what awaits Kosovo in the future, therefore everyone is guilty, but the responsibility lies with the winner of the elections," he continued.

Meanwhile, Blerim Canaj says that the country is lost due to the lack of a quick government formation. But he also raises a dilemma.

"I have the impression that Kurti himself is sometimes not interested in forming a government, a common language has always been found, but somehow he is trying to get us to go to the elections again, along with the municipal elections," Canaj said.

Tomorrow in the Assembly, in the fourth attempt to fully constitute the Assembly, the name of Albulena Haxhiu for Speaker of the Assembly is expected to be put to the vote again.

On the other hand, LDK has decided to file criminal charges for every decision that elected members of the Government and MPs have made since March 27.
