Today, the final word of Rexhep Selim's defense, followed by that of Jakup Krasniqi

Rexhep Selimi's defense will continue its closing statement at the Special Court today.
Attorney Geoffrey Roberts yesterday said his client is innocent of all counts in the indictment.
He said that the Specialized Prosecutor's Office has not provided any evidence that Selimi wrote the statements and there is no basis to attribute these responsibilities to the accused, reports Kp.
While speaking about the Prosecution's claims of a "joint criminal enterprise," the lawyer said that no such thing existed.
During his closing statement, which he began yesterday, he said that "if you ask the Prosecution whether Adem Jashari was part of the NPC, they cannot answer."
The presentation of closing statements by Rexhep Selim's defense team will continue today, then it is the turn of Jakup Krasniqi's defense.
Former Kosovo Liberation Army commanders will also have the opportunity on Wednesday to address the court for the last time.
Today is the fifth day since the parties' closing statements began.
This phase began with the submissions of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office, where Chief Prosecutor Kimberly West requested a 45-year prison sentence for the KLA four.
Last night, the Kosovo Assembly approved a resolution for a fair trial at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi are facing charges brought by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office, which they have described as unfounded. The defense has also rejected these charges and argued that the KLA did not have an organized command structure.
Their trial began on April 3, 2023 - almost three years after the indictment was confirmed, since when the former KLA leaders have been held in the detention center in The Hague. /KP/
