The next plenary session of the Albanian Parliament will take place on Thursday. Initially, MPs will gather at 10:00 to consider the Democratic Party's initiative to dismiss the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi.
The DP has submitted a report with arguments for Pelesh's dismissal, while on the other hand, the majority has firmly stated that it will reject the opposition's request.
Afterwards, the plenary session will resume at 11:30, where the annual reports of several independent institutions will begin.
The center of attention is expected to be the report of the High Prosecutorial Council, KLP, under the leadership of Mirela Bogdani, an institution that is at a crucial moment, as the new Head of SPAK is expected to be voted on soon.
Also, the Ombudsman Institution, the Audiovisual Media Authority, AMA, the Commissioner for the Supervision of the Civil Service and the Albanian Radio and Television, RTSH, are expected to report at this session. /euronewsalbania/
