Three people arrested in Peja, one seriously injured a police officer while trying to flee
Police have arrested three people in Peja who are suspected of the criminal offenses of - assault on an official person, and - obstructing an official person while performing official duty.
During patrol on "Selman Lajqi" street in Peja, the Police noticed the suspect, who was wanted on the basis of an order from the Peja Court.
The suspect with the initials AA, after being arrested by the Police, attempted to escape with the help of two other people, injuring a police officer, as stated in the Kosovo Police statement.
"The suspect AA, born in 2000, in Peja, was arrested by the Police, and after the arrest he attempted to flee, assisted by two (2) other persons, injuring one (1) Police Officer," the announcement states.
The police officer was then taken to the Regional Hospital in Peja, as according to the doctor he had suffered serious bodily injuries, and he was detained in the relevant ward for further medical treatment.
By decision of the prosecutor, the three suspects were sent to custody for 48 hours.
