Barcelona and Real Madrid have given a spectacular first half in the Spanish Super Cup final, which ended with a score of 2-2 after 45 dramatic minutes.
Barcelona started the match better and gradually took control of the game, being the more persistent team in the offensive phase. The first serious chance came in the 14th minute, when Vinicius Junior broke into the area, but his shot was stopped by Joan Garcia.
Barcelona's reaction was immediate. In the 15th minute, Eric Garcia came very close to scoring from a corner kick, but the Real Madrid defense intervened at the last moment to clear the ball from the goal line.
The Catalans' pressure was met in the 36th minute when Raphinha scored a stunning goal. The Brazilian dribbled past several defenders and from outside the area fired a precise shot into the bottom corner, giving Barcelona a 1-0 lead.
Hansi Flick's side continued to push forward after the goal. Fermín and Lamine Yamal had clear chances in the 40th and 41st minutes, but Thibaut Courtois reacted decisively to keep Real Madrid in the game.
However, in the final seconds of the first half, Real Madrid equalized the score. In the 45+2 minute, Vinicius Junior made a brilliant individual move and with a precise shot inside the area, equalized the score at 1-1.
The drama didn't end there. Just two minutes later, Barcelona reacted again. Pedri found a perfect deep pass for Robert Lewandowski, who calmly slotted a beautiful shot past Courtois for the 2-1 lead in the 45th+4th minute.
However, just a minute later Gonzalo Garcia scored from close range after a corner kick (45+6').
