Three days searching for the shepherd, suspected to have been swept away by the current of the Vjosa River

Since February 3, the fate of shepherd Ylli Dine, 65, remains unknown. According to preliminary suspicions, he is believed to have been swept away by the current of the Vjosa River after falling in the area known as "Peshtan Village Field", in the Tepelena municipality.
The incident has shocked family members and residents of the area, who have been living between anxiety and hope for days. Since the first day of the disappearance, searches have been underway with great intensity.
RENEA rescuers, the services of the Gjirokastra Local Police Directorate, the "Eagle" Special Force, the Fire Protection and Rescue service, representatives of the Armed Forces, as well as family members and volunteers, were engaged in the operation.
