Thousands of euros and dinars discovered at the Merdare border crossing, not declared by foreign citizen residing in Kosovo

Kosovo Customs has announced that during a routine check at the Merdare border crossing, a vehicle with foreign license plates, driven by a foreign citizen residing in Kosovo, was stopped for verification.
Customs announces that during the detailed control carried out in cooperation with the Border Police, undeclared monetary assets in the total amount of 15,915 euros and 36,780 Serbian dinars were discovered.
"According to the verifications, part of the cash was found in a waist bag, specifically 15,450 euros and 31,650 Serbian dinars, while the rest was found in a wallet, respectively 465 euros and 5,130 Serbian dinars," the announcement states.
In accordance with the legislation in force, temporary confiscation of 25% of the undeclared amount, which amounts to 4,055 euros, was carried out.
The case has been handled according to legal procedures and the competent institutions have been notified for further action. /Telegrafi/
