Thousands of Albanians in Skopje demand justice for the KLA, reactions from Kosovo

Thousands of Albanian citizens gathered on Saturday afternoon at Skanderbeg Square in the capital of North Macedonia, Skopje, to demand "real justice" at the conclusion of the war crimes trial against former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders at the Kosovo Special Court in The Hague.
The protest took place without incident and under strict police supervision, as participants chanted “KLA, KLA” and waved Albanian and KLA national flags.
Hysni Gucati, chairman of the KLA War Veterans Organization, said that the rally aims to raise the voice for justice for former KLA leaders, emphasizing that the Kosovo Liberation Army was born and operates from the people.
Politicians from Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia also participated in the protest.
Former leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, described the rally as “a nationwide, peaceful, dignified and powerful protest” and stressed that the participants' message was clear: justice and freedom for the liberators.
The leader of the Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, declared that the KLA remains a liberation war and no one has the right to rewrite history or tarnish the fight for freedom.
"Today the voice of Albanian unity was heard from Skopje. A voice that does not threaten anyone, but does not accept injustice," Limaj wrote.
Meanwhile, former AAK MP Daut Haradinaj wrote on social media: "Skopje today KLA! Justice for the liberators."
PDK Vice President Vlora Çitaku also thanked the participants for their support and emphasized that the only demand was justice.
This was the fifth protest in support of former KLA leaders and justice for the liberators of Kosovo. /Telegraph/
