La Liga president Javier Tebas has described Real Madrid's departure from the Spanish championship as impossible, despite the warning from the royal club.
Real Madrid, frustrated with the treatment they have received from Spanish referees, have hinted at the possibility of leaving the top flight of Spanish football.
However, in response, La Liga president Javier Tebas expressed strong skepticism, describing Los Blancos' departure as impossible.
"They are cheating! This is impossible and they know it themselves. There is a sports law that says that clubs in Spain must participate in national competitions."
"This strategy has been followed for many decades. Listen, which league are they planning to join?" Tebas said.
Real Madrid have not given an answer to this question, but reports suggest they are considering three alternatives: Italy, France and Germany.
