Thiago Alcantara explains changes in Barcelona's style under Hansi Flick

Barcelona may not have been at their best in recent matches, but they are in the hunt for three major trophies this season. 

Hansi Flick has given his team a spectacle on the field this season beyond the fans' expectations. 

One person who has seen firsthand how Flick has managed to do this is undoubtedly Thiago Alcantara. 

The former Barcelona star joined Flick's coaching staff in pre-season, before leaving again on the eve of the start of La Liga.  

At the 'Laurues' awards ceremony, Alcantara explained what he saw. 

"What Hansi has created with the players and how he has maintained this level, we are very proud." 

"Because of the players and the project I expected this performance. Ultimately, it was about giving them the flexibility to play the way they are doing this season and giving them a more dynamic approach to the game than they have done before."
