Refused to take him for a ride, Kenyan man hangs from helicopter for free flight – arrested by police

This is the shocking moment a man hangs from a helicopter as it leaves a wedding in Kenya.

Shocking footage shows Stephen Odhiambo Ouma suspended dozens of metres in the air and clinging to an iron rod as he flies through the sky.

A stunned crowd can be heard watching in horror, praying for the safe return of the father-of-two, the Telegraph reports.

Ouma, 28, is said to have demanded money and a ride from the helicopter's owners before intercepting it as it was leaving Rapogi village.

After becoming aware of the extra passenger, the pilot made an emergency landing in a nearby field.

Ouma told local media that he was quite relieved to crash, as he had started to feel exhausted in the air.

Describing the experience as exciting, Ouma noted that he often relies on donkeys for transportation, so the flight marked a milestone for him.

He added that he felt the cold during the short journey and even managed to keep his slippers on.

Ouma was later arrested at his home and is currently in police custody.

According to police, Ouma is expected to be charged with endangering his own life and the lives of others on board the helicopter. /Telegraph/
