After rejecting Juventus in January, English giant Liverpool has now expressed interest in the Uruguayan defender.
The Reds are expected to be without their captain Virgil Van Dijk and see the Uruguayan centre-back as his ideal replacement.
Araujo has a release clause of just 65 million euros, a sum that does not pose a problem for Liverpool.
