There is a favorite team for Davide Ancelotti, he will take charge of the club after Brazil's first two matches

Davide Ancelotti, the 35-year-old son of coach Carlo Ancelotti, is very close to being appointed as the new coach of Scottish club Rangers.

Reports from British media say that he will initially accompany his father in the first two matches with the Brazilian national team, before officially starting his first adventure as head coach.

Davide has built a solid career as an assistant coach, working at big clubs such as Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton and Real Madrid.

With Carlo Ancelotti's departure for Brazil, Davide has decided to follow his own path and prove himself in an independent role.

Rangers are looking for a new manager following the departure of Philippe Clement, and are currently being managed on an interim basis by former captain Barry Ferguson.

The Scottish club is expected to make a final decision in the coming weeks, and Davide Ancelotti's name is one of the most talked about.

If made official, this will be a major step in Davide's career, ending his long collaboration with his father on the bench of elite European clubs. /Telegraph/
