Spain's young star responds to strange "accusations" from fans because of his eyes: I don't take drugs, I was born this way

Dean Huijsen is one of the discoveries of the season in European football, as the young defender is shining in the Bournemouth shirt, which has earned him an invitation to the Spanish National Team.

The 19-year-old defender originally from the Netherlands made his debut for the 'Red Fury' in the quarter-final of the Nations League against his country, but the look in his eyes caused interesting comments on social media.

Fans joked that he looked like he had used marijuana, all because of the look of his eyes, which were hooked.

Huijsen spoke last week with English social media content creator PapaPincus, and during the conversation he responded to these humorous accusations of drug use.

"It's a random question and you probably don't expect it, but it looks like you're being treated with medical marijuana," the Englishman asked Huijsen, who couldn't help but laugh.

"Basically, for everyone watching, I'll tell you – I have sleepy eyes. I inherited it from my mom. My mom has sleepy eyes. I don't do drugs. Sorry, but I don't do drugs. We're not allowed to use marijuana, because then the doping tests would be positive. So, I don't do drugs," the talent declared.

Huijsen is one of the best defenders in the Premier League this season and is shining in the Bournemouth shirt, which is fighting for a place in the top four teams in the standings and consequently for a place in the Champions League.

Huijsen has played 23 games and scored two goals since arriving at Bournemouth last summer from Juventus, who sold him for €15m.Telegraph/
