While on Tuesday, due to high-intensity rainfall in the Municipality of Gjilan, problems were caused in the movement of citizens and vehicles in some areas.

The Mayor of Gjilan, Alban Hyseni, said that throughout Tuesday, municipal teams were engaged in the field at full capacity, monitoring the situation and intervening where possible to minimize damage from the rainfall.

"As a result of high-intensity rainfall, some areas in our municipality have encountered difficulties in the movement of citizens and vehicles," said Hyseni.

The first of Gjilan, called on all citizens to move only when there is an emergency and to use the city's roads, avoiding ring roads and those where there is an increase in water levels, including the Malishevë-Gjilan road, Lower and Upper Livoç, "Enver Miftari" street and areas near rivers.

The Mayor appealed to citizens to show increased caution and for any emergency to contact the 112 center.

"The Municipality of Gjilan remains committed to guaranteeing the safety of citizens and will continue monitoring the situation on the ground," said Hyseni.

The Director of Public Services, Kushtrim Ibrahimi, said that in most locations the situation was under control, but it was still within the limits of danger.

Meanwhile, the Director of Protection and Rescue, Bejtullah Osmani, has asked citizens to be careful, due to the increase in water levels in some areas.
