The Kosovo Police, specifically the Directorate for International Police Cooperation ILECU, in cooperation with justice institutions and other relevant units of the Kosovo Police, on 10.12.2025, extradited the Kosovo citizen from Germany to Kosovo.
According to a report, the suspect was arrested by German authorities, as he was wanted on an international arrest warrant issued by Kosovo justice institutions to serve a one-year prison sentence and had evaded justice.
"The extradition was carried out thanks to the cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and those of Germany," the announcement states.
As stated in the announcement, the suspect, after extradition, was handed over to the relevant police units in the Peja region for further legal procedures.
The Directorate for International Police Cooperation will continue to exchange information with local institutions, states and international organizations, with the aim of preventing, investigating and detecting criminal activities related to the investigation of perpetrators of criminal offenses, as well as other activities in tracking, capturing/arresting persons and criminal groups operating inside and outside the country. /Telegrafi/
