The uncle of 19-year-old Ardit Zymeri, killed last night in Vushtrri, Nysret Zymeri, has stated that he does not know how the incident happened.

He said that the family had no ill will towards anyone.

Zymeri also said that the family was informed about the case last night and that according to him, neither Dorasin nor his family know him yet.

"Arditi was the brother's son. We have no official information so far. We don't know how it happened, we haven't had any bad things to say to anyone. We haven't had a single bad word with anyone alive, we didn't expect it, we knew we had an enemy, but we didn't expect anything from him. This happened to us, we received the information last night, we didn't recognize the perpetrator, and we don't recognize him now either. Otherwise, on Sunday evening, a 19-year-old man was shot dead at around 20:38 pm in Vushtrri, while the suspect has been arrested.

According to the prosecution, the suspect in the murder of the 19-year-old admitted his guilt during his statement.

The spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica, Valon Preteni, said that by the prosecutor's decision, the defendant is being held in detention for 48 hours.

"A suspect has been arrested for the criminal offense of 'Aggravated Murder', and the same person is being held in detention for 48 hours by decision of the prosecutor. The weapon with which this murder is suspected to have been committed has been seized, the prosecution and the police are collecting relevant evidence in relation to the case. During the taking of the statement, the defendant admitted his guilt for the murder," said Preteni.

He further said that within the legally prescribed deadline, the prosecution will submit a request for the imposition of pre-trial detention. /Telegrafi/
