At the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, scheduled hearings for the Thaçi and others case resume today.

The cancellation of the previous hearings was due to the postponement of the testimony of American diplomat Christopher Hill.

According to the court calendar, Hill will begin testimony at 2 p.m. and will last until 5 p.m.

The hearings are expected to continue over the next three days.

Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selim have been in detention since November 2020, accused of alleged war crimes to which they have pleaded not guilty.

Their trial began in April 2023.

Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army continue to oppose the Specialized Chambers, saying that Serbian crimes that occurred in Kosovo should be tried.

They have asked the deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo to change the law on the Special, but such a thing has not been achieved.

In August 2015, after a marathon session, the members of the Kosovo Assembly voted on constitutional amendments that enabled the establishment of the Special Court. /KP/
