Trial for "State Reserves" fails to begin, Rozeta Hajdari and a lawyer missing

The Basic Court in Pristina failed to hold the initial hearing in the "State Reserves" case, where the acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, as well as Irfan Lipovica, Hafiz Gara and Ridvan Muharremi are being accused. The hearing failed in the absence of Hajdari and Lipovica's lawyer, Feim Alaj.
The presiding judge, Avni Syla, said that the defendant Hajdari is missing, for whom the Court has sent an invitation by post, but to date they have not received a response as to whether she has accepted the invitation in a proper manner, reports "Oath for Justice".
Present at the hearing was her authorized defense attorney, lawyer Florent Latifaj.
Also present was the defendant Lipovica. However, his lawyer Feim Alaj was absent, having sent his office's legal representative to the session, who said that Alaj had notified the Court via e-mail that he could not present at the session since he had previously received an invitation from the Basic Court in Peja.
Judge Syla said that the Court sent him an official e-mail asking him to find a replacement, but Alaj still informed the Court that he had made efforts to find a replacement lawyer, but had not received his client's consent.
Present at the hearing were Hafiz Gara with lawyer Nazim Mehmeti and Ridvan Muharremi with lawyer Mahmut Halimi.
Meanwhile, none of the representatives of the injured party - the State Attorney's Office - were present, even though they had accepted the invitation for today's session.
The judge said that the injured party, through a submission, notified the court that they had initiated a lawsuit in the Commercial Court regarding this case and confirmed that they would be present at the judicial review sessions.
Then, Judge Syla, in the absence of the accused Rozeta Hajdari and lawyer Feim Alaja, said that the initial hearing was postponed and the hearing was set for January 13, 2026.
Lawyer Latifaj undertakes to notify Hajdar of the next hearing, while lawyer Alaj will be notified by his office's legal officer.
