"What a beast", Peci says Kurti is not happy that he said that expression

Acting Minister of Agriculture, Faton Peci, has commented on Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statements during his speech in the square after his victory in the February 9 elections, where Kurti used harsh language towards opposing candidates, calling some of them "animals".

Peci, in an interview on T7, said that Kurti was not referring to an entire party, but to a specific individual from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), who, according to him, had made unrealistic and unaffordable promises for the country's budget.

He denied that Kurti's offensive comments were directed at LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku or PDK's candidate for prime minister, Bedri Hamza.

"The reference was mainly to an individual, not to a political party. One of the LDK exponents, he is from Ferizaj, has made some promises and some points of the LDK program that he has unveiled, and in some points it has simply been an assessment that he has given public commitments for the financial cost for the next budget. So much so that the projection for the budget has exceeded even the gross product part. I don't think he referred to (Hamëz and Abdixhiku)...", said Peci.

According to Peci, it seems that Kurti has regretted those statements.

"Now even Prime Minister Albin Kurti is not happy because he used an expression (animals or beasts)," Peci emphasized.
