Threat from Russia and Serbia, Osmani before the Leaders' Summit: EU must be consistent, you cannot treat one as an aggressor and the other as a partner

The country's President, Vjosa Osmani, spoke about security in the region and beyond before the start of the European Political Community (EPC) Leaders' Summit in Denmark, while emphasizing that Serbia has historically treated its neighbors as non-existent states, as temporary states, acting aggressively towards them.
Osmani further emphasized that there are currently two main security threats to the countries of the continent, one from Russia and the other from Serbia.
"Currently there are two main security threats to the countries of our continent. One comes from Russia, of course. The other, especially in our region, comes from Russia's proxy, from Russia's extension in the region - Serbia. And I think it is essential that the European Union has consistency in dealing with both of these aggressors, because you cannot treat one as an aggressor and dictator and the other as a partner," she said.
The head of state was asked if the European Union is being hypocritical.
"No, I'm not saying they are hypocrites. I believe they have the best intentions. However, it is important to learn from history. And as I said, history, especially in dealing with Putin, shows us that the policy of appeasement does not bring lasting peace. President Vučić is trying to copy Putin, using aggression and destabilizing tactics against neighbors. For this reason, it is essential that EU countries understand that rewarding Serbia for its stance close to Russia is not the right path. We should reward countries that are 100% aligned with the EU, not those that have chosen Moscow as their path," she said, among other things. /Telegraph/
