The teacher accused of throwing the flag and the t-shirt in the trash is acquitted of the charges.

The Basic Court in Pristina has announced an acquittal against Muhamed Hajredinaj on the charge that, in his capacity as a teacher, he threw the national flag and the police badge into the trash can.
The verdict was announced on Tuesday by the presiding judge Leon Përlaska and members Violeta Namani-Hajra and Avni Syla, reports "Oath for Justice".
Judge Përlaska said that the court relied on the evidence presented at the trial and assessed that the defendant did not intend to incite hatred or intolerance.
The judge said that Hajredinaj's actions do not meet the elements of a criminal offense, so he is acquitted of the charges.
The accused did not participate in the advertisement.
The costs of the criminal procedure are borne by the court.
According to the indictment of the Special Prosecution, filed on April 24, 2025, Hajredinaj was accused of having thrown the red and black flag and the polka dot into the trash can on November 27, 2024, at the “Xhemail Mustafa” Lower Secondary School in Pristina, in his capacity as an English teacher, with the aim of inciting hatred, division and intolerance between national, ethnic and religious groups, despite the objections of the students. He was also accused of having removed from class a student who was carrying the symbols for participation in the festive program of Flag Day.
With these actions, Hajredinaj was accused of the criminal offense of "Inciting discord and intolerance" under Article 141, paragraph 4, in conjunction with paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.
