The "fast" turtle escaped the fire that "swallowed" its house

A turtle has become a TikTok star after being filmed making an incredible escape from a fire that engulfed its shelter.
Security camera video shows how three-year-old Leo the tortoise runs unusually quickly to safety as flames engulf his home in the backyard of a Fullerton home.
The fire was caused by a problem with a heater while the owners were out of the house.
@leothehomelesstort In all seriousness—thankful beyond words for attentive neighbors who helped put out the fire. 🙏 Leo is safe ❤️ The heat lamp fell and ignited the substrate. Posting this as a warning to other tortoise owners: secure your heat lamps. This could've ended very differently. Also, open to any advice on how to build her house safer. #turbo #tortoisesoftiktok #fire ♬ Welp, Didn't Expect That - Yu-Peng Chen & HOYO-MiX
The owner, Hyeri Tom, was at a Super Bowl party on February 8 when the fire broke out in the turtle shelter in the yard.
The video shows the tortoise fleeing the fire that was destroying its home. Leo managed to escape by running as fast as he could to the other side of the yard. Fortunately, the fire did not spread further, as neighbors noticed it and quickly extinguished it.
Because of her daring escape — which is much faster than expected for a turtle — Leo's video has gone viral with over 2.9 million views. /Telegraph/
