He portrayed the streets of Kosovo as "with gangs armed with Kalashnikovs" - numerous reactions to the French MP

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in France, Qendrim Gashi, reacted to a statement by a French MP, who, commenting on the recent violence in the streets of a French city, compared it to "the streets of Kosovo".
This is the MP for "Les Republicains", Eric Ciotti, who has described the communal violence for several days in Dijon, saying that "It seemed that the streets of Dijon were like those of Kosovo, with armed gangs advertising Kalashnikovs."
And Gashi wrote: "I invite Mr. Ciotti to come and discover Kosovo where French friends are always welcome. The streets of Kosovo are filled with restaurants - sometimes you even find Dijon mustard," Gashi wrote on Twitter, according to Telegraph.
Meanwhile, the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the national coordinator for the Millennium Challenges in Kosovo (MCC), Petrit Selimi, also reacted to such a statement.
“No sir, the streets of Kosovo are much safer than the streets of French cities, and dare I say - more welcoming. Once the COVID-19 crisis is over, you are invited to visit our Republic - which, for its independence, also owes its independence to your Republic - and enjoy the 'joie de vivre'.”
The German ambassador to Kosovo, Christian Heldt, also agreed with Selim's assessment.
"I agree with those who tell you that Kosovo is worth seeing. And just to reassure you that on the streets here, we are more likely to be subjected to the warm hospitality of the people than to encounter armed gangs," Heldt wrote on Twitter.
Otherwise, as it was announced earlier, in the French city of Dijon there were "settlement between two armed gangs", which supposedly started when a 16-year-old Chechen was beaten last week, and everything was involved drug dealers.
To take revenge, more than 200 Chechens have attacked a bar, looking for the people responsible, and to come to the aid of their compatriots.
According to reports, the violence spread throughout the city of Dijon where many cars were also burned. /Telegrafi/
