The special prosecutor requests pre-trial detention for Fatmir Sheholli, suspected of espionage

The Special Prosecution of Kosovo today filed a request for the imposition of pre-trial detention at the Basic Court in Pristina against Fatmir Sheholli, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of "Espionage".
The news was announced to the Telegraph by the spokesperson for the Special Prosecution of Kosovo, Arbnora Luta.
Otherwise, the political analyst Fatmir Sheholli was arrested on Thursday by the Kosovo Police, in cooperation with the Kosovo Intelligence Agency.
Sheholli's arrest was made on well-founded suspicions of involvement in espionage activities.
"The Kosovo Police, in close cooperation with the KIA and the prosecution, arrested Fatmir Sheholli today, on well-founded suspicions of involvement in espionage. I expect institutional treatment with high seriousness of this case, which constitutes one of the most serious acts against the security and constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo", announced the acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla. /Telegrafi/
