The special prosecutor removes several witnesses from the list in the case against former KLA leaders

The Specialized Prosecutor's Office (SPO), known as the Special Court, has announced further changes to the witness list in the case against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selim and Jakup Krasniqi.

According to the document submitted before the Second Panel of the Court, the SPO will no longer rely on the testimonies of several witnesses, whose names have not been published.

Also, some evidence will be presented in writing.


After these changes, only six witnesses remain for whom a notification or confirmation of their status has not yet been provided.

"With these further changes, only six witnesses remain for whom an announcement or other indication of status is still awaited. This will be done, as previously stated, as soon as possible to allow sufficient time for preparation," it said. in notice.

The SPO has stated that it will make the necessary announcements at the most appropriate time to enable proper preparation.
