The Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution Office, Habibe Salihu, said that the murder at the 'Cobra City' bar in Prizren was committed by Dibran Hoxha and was done to show strength to people who do not obey his orders.

In the trial of Dibran Hoxha, known as "Cobra" and others, before the court for the murder that occurred in 2023 at the "Cobra City" nightclub in Prizren, the parties to the proceedings have given their final words regarding this case.

Special Prosecutor Habibe Salihu, in her closing statement, said that it has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendants committed the criminal offenses they are accused of.

According to the SPRK, the entire incident occurred over a bill of around 400 euros for some drinks. According to the prosecution, this is proven and confirmed based on the statements given by the injured parties through the special investigative opportunity.

According to the SPRK, Dibran Hoxha was not in the bar, but the other accused. He was informed by one of the employees that an incident was taking place in the bar.

Further, according to the SPRK, Dibran Hoxha came to the bar and was not interested in the damage caused by the injured parties. After he realized about the crowd, he took the gun, went outside the bar and shot at the injured parties, one of whom killed the victim, VC.

According to the Special Prosecution, Dibran Hoxha committed this act to show his strength, as he enjoys extraordinary popularity in that territory and wanted to show his strength against people who do not obey his orders.

Prosecutor Habibe Salihu said that the accused Dibran Hoxha committed this crime intentionally, in cold blood, calmly and armed with two pistols, he shot four times at the victims.

"There is no doubt that the criminal offense of murder was committed by Dibran Hoxha. Because the murder committed by Dibran was proven with evidence, it was committed in a very rude manner, in such a way that other witnesses have also described that at the moment when he entered the bar, he was not at all interested in the reason for causing this conflict," said Prosecutor Salihu.

"It is also proven that when the witness informs Dibran Hoxha that there was a riot in the bar, and when he arrives, Dibran does not care at all about the reason for the riot, he took the gun and left the bar and shot at the injured parties, killing VC. There were no previous reports of him shooting the injured parties with a gun," the prosecutor added.

According to the prosecutor, the murder was intended as a show of force by the accused Hoxha.

"The murder was intentional with a show of force because he enjoys extraordinary popularity, he wanted to show force against people who do not obey other orders," said the prosecutor.

"The cameras worked and were functional, while the actions of the accused Ronald Susuri contradict the statement of a witness who said that the cameras were functional," the prosecutor further said.

Prosecutor Salihu further said that the accused Roland Susuri was the very person who had taken the DVR and hidden it, and this action of his was also confirmed by the testimony of one of the other accused in this case.

According to the SPRK, the accused Roland Susuri was the first to leave the "Cobra City" bar after the incident occurred.

Furthermore, the prosecutor in her closing statement said that the weapons and cameras, which were among the most important evidence in the procedure, were hidden before the police arrived, which the accused Roland Susuri did on his own initiative, while the accused Burim Mazreku did at the request of the accused Dibran Hoxha.

"The weapons and cameras that were among the most important evidence in the procedure were hidden before the police arrived, by the accused Roland Susuri, who did it on his own initiative, while Burimi did it at the request of Dibran Hoxha, who himself admitted it," said the prosecutor.

Prosecutor Habibe Salihu further said that since the actions of the accused have convincingly proven that they committed criminal offenses, she proposed to the Court to take into account the aggravating circumstances for each accused regarding their criminal past.

With particular emphasis, Salihu highlighted the fact that Dibran Hoxha also has 17 final judgments.

This criminal case is being handled in the Special Department of the Court of Pristina by a panel composed of judges: Kujtim Krasniqi (presiding judge), Ngadhnjim Arrni and Vesel Ismaili (members).

We recall that in the initial hearing held on 07.03.2024, the defendants had not admitted guilt for the criminal offenses they were charged with.
