The Kosovo Special Prosecution, following the developments of the investigation, has today filed an indictment at the Basic Court in Pristina - Special Department, against the defendant MH.
According to a media release, it is known that the defendant MH, in his capacity as an official person (teacher), with the aim of inciting hatred, division and intolerance between national, ethnic and religious groups in Kosovo, on the occasion of the celebration of the national flag day, has publicly taken concrete actions towards the desecration of Albanian national symbols.
"From the evidence obtained during the investigation phase and after their analysis, it has been proven beyond a well-founded doubt that the defendant MH, in his capacity as an official person (teacher), with the aim of inciting hatred, division and intolerance between national, ethnic and religious groups in Kosovo, on the occasion of the celebration of the National Flag Day, publicly took concrete actions towards the desecration of Albanian national symbols, more specifically the national flag and the polis, which with these actions has committed the criminal offense 'Inciting division and intolerance' under Article 141, paragraph 4, in conjunction with paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code," the announcement states.
The announcement also states that the state prosecutor from the Special Prosecution Office has proposed to the court that, after the judicial review and the administration of evidence, he be found guilty and sentenced according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
"Also, the Prosecutor of the case has requested from the court that, in accordance with Article 62 of the Criminal Code, the additional punishment 'Prohibition of exercising functions in public administration or in public service' be imposed on the defendant MH," the announcement further states. /Telegrafi/
