Second suspect in Skenderaj murder arrested

Kosovo Police have also arrested the second suspect in the murder that occurred during the day in Skenderaj.

In an official announcement, the police announced that investigators from the regional investigation sector in Mitrovica South, after intensive investigative work, have managed to locate and arrest the suspect BI, 33 years old.

"The suspect BI, male, 33 years old, was arrested in Pristina and material evidence related to the case was found and seized from him," the police statement said.


The police also announce that investigators, in coordination with the state prosecutor, are taking all necessary procedural and investigative actions to clarify the full circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, the spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica, Valon Preteni, stated to Sinjali that the case of the murder of the 42-year-old man in Skenderaj has been classified as "Aggravated Murder".

He said that two suspects have been identified and are on the run.

"The prosecutor of the case from the Serious Crimes Department immediately went to the scene where it was determined that a person had been killed. The case has been classified as 'serious murder'," he said.

It is unofficially reported that the murder was the result of a property conflict and that the victim and the assailant are from the village of Klinë e Ulët. /Telegraph/
