After Sali Berisha's second report to SPAK by the Haklaj family, the son of Elez Haklaj, who was killed in 1997 in Tropoja, said they have submitted evidence to SPAK that, according to them, implicates former Prime Minister Sali Berisha as the head of the criminal organization that gave the order for the murders that shocked Tropoja.
The message states that justice, according to the Haklaj family, is in charge of clarifying the incident and according to them, they are not seeing any action by SPAK.
"Everything I have written is true. Even here, where I am, they have a proverb that says. 'The truth is not good if told several times', but consider what we have written to you, as they say, a rough diamond, while you are the jewelers who worked, but in the end it remains a diamond. We have written pure events... While for those who died, or were killed, we have written the time, more or less, according to the information that came to the father, and they are true. Why have the state and justice not played even a little finger for these murders, we have the ears and mouth to hear and speak," says the message that went to the Report TV editorial office.
Another complaint against Sali Berisha was filed with the SPAK Special Prosecution Office on March 17th on serious charges of leading a criminal organization and murder. The complaint was filed by Shote and Vjollca Haklaj, represented by lawyer Idajet Beqiri, two sisters seeking justice for the murder of their brother Sokol Haklaj in June 1997, together with his friend Brahim Rrustemi in Ura e Milot, and 5 years later the murder of their father and other brother, Elez and Cen Haklaj, on May 8th, 2002 in Bajram Curri.
The Haklaj sisters are asking SPAK to fully investigate the events and, along with Berisha, other defendants include Sokol Mulosmani, Miftar Lumneshi, Rasim Lumneshi, Besim Hajdarmataj, Zef Lleshi, Agim Vuka, Haki Hoxha, Sokol Hoxha, Elez Kuliçi, Riza Metalija, Hamdi Çelaku and anyone else involved. All are being investigated for a series of criminal offenses, the most serious of which are related to murder and the creation of a criminal organization.
According to the Haklaj family, the second report provided evidence about the incident that occurred on June 21, 1997, where Fatmir Haklaj and 4 people were ambushed at the Milot Bridge.
Two people died in the incident, one of the people was killed in the car, while the well-known guard Sokol Mulosmani died in the Laçi hospital after being seriously injured.
