Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema lead the list of players with the highest annual salary in the world, while the top ten is closed with Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Saudi Arabian Super League has changed the entire game by bringing in big name players lured by huge salaries.

Big names like Ronaldo, Benzema, N'Golo Kante, Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez, Koulibaly and most recently Neymar Junior are just some of the players who have been transferred this summer.

And it is all these and a few others that are on the list of the highest paid players in the world, with only Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, outside of Saudi Arabia, ranking in the top ten in the world.

The French medium Le Parisien has revealed the ten highest paid footballers in the world within the year, where Ronaldo and Benzema lead the list, both with a salary of 200 million euros per year.

The third and fourth places with 100 million euros per season are shared by N'Golo Kante and Neymar, who has reached a transfer agreement to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

In fifth position is Mbappe with a salary of 70 million euros per year, followed by Messi in sixth place with a salary of 45 million euros per year, while in seventh and eighth place are Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson with a salary of 40 million euros.

The ninth position belongs to Riyad Mahrez with a salary of 35 million euros, while the top ten is completed by Kalidou Koulibaly with a salary of 30 million euros per season. /Telegraph/
